The NDIS offers three types of support budgets designed to help participants address their needs and achieve their goals:
Core Supports
These support daily living activities such as personal care, transportation, and household tasks. Core supports help participants meet their day-to-day needs, promoting independence and improving quality of life.
Capital Supports
Capital supports cover larger, one-time purchases such as assistive technology, equipment, home modifications, or Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA). This budget is used for investments that enhance participants' independence and safety.
Capacity Building Supports
Capacity Building Supports aim to develop participants' skills and abilities to achieve long-term goals and increase independence. This includes services like Support Coordination, therapy, and training programs to help participants build skills for daily living, employment, and community participation.
